Christopher Strong Obituary

30 June 2018, Cambridge, with thanks to Patricia Finn Litchfield.

We have just lost one of the brightest stars in the Dowsing firmament. Christopher Strong passed away yesterday evening.

We have lost not just a Master Dowser, who was in a class of his own, but a beautiful man, whose amazing dowsing skills were matched by his kindness, generosity, egolessness, warmth and humility.

Devon Dowsers have benefitted from his insights and knowledge through his talks and workshops run in Devon as well as in other locations, for many years, the last one being in February 2017.

I have fond memories of Christopher, having attended his “Dowsing for lost objects” workshop in Oxfordshire, where he introduced me to my Parking Angel, which I am for ever in his debt, as I have without fail found parking spaces in the most improbable situations, ever since. His workshops at BSD conferences were always full of great stories one could learn from.

Three years ago, the two of us escaped the music and dancing at the BSD Conference at Leicester University, and sat together watching the Rugby World Cup cheering on Japan over our pints.

Veronika, Christopher’s wife was also a gifted dowser. Now they can once again be reunited in their love for each other. We say our sad goodbyes to Christopher with love, and a big “thank you” for enriching our lives with his passion for dowsing.
