About Us

Devon Dowsers was formed in late 1992 when John Bowers was teaching introductory ‘Dowsing for Beginners’ classes at Chulmleigh, South Molton and Okehampton Community Colleges which were proving very popular. It was after one of these that John Down suggested that it might be a good idea if there was some sort of follow up so people could meet and practise together afterwards. At one point in its history, Devon Dowsers was the largest dowsing society in the country with over 200 members.
