Learning
Devon Dowsers is committed to creating a number of learning opportunities for both members and non-members. As with most things in life, we enhance our skills if we continue to learn and put what we learn into practice.
Events
Each year we attend a number of events hosted by other organisations in Devon, such as Toby Buckland’s Garden Festival, Finch Foundry Rural Craft day and Lightfest. We demonstrate how to dowse to members of the public attending, who can also try their hand at dowsing.
Talks
We have eight talks a year, starting in September through to May. These are free to members and £5.00 for non-members. We engage speakers across a wide range of subjects which usually have a dowsing element to them. We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30 pm at the Red Lion, Chumleigh, Devon, EX18 7DD.
Courses
Devon Dowsers run two “Introduction to dowsing courses” each year: one in the spring and one in the autumn. So far, we have held these at Spreyton, Devon, but we are also intending to provide these courses in Ashburton, South Devon from 2019. At the end of the day-long course, you will know the ethics of dowsing, why we need to ask for permission and protection and how to do this, and you will have the opportunity to use dowsing tools such as L rods and a pendulum to dowse for both tangible targets (such as drain pipes and water mains) and intangible targets (such as earth energies and auras). There is a £30 charge.
In addition, we are introducing “enhanced” dowsing courses in 2019, where some more advanced skills can be developed.
Workshops
Two types of workshops are run. There are no charges to members for the “Discover Dowsing in Devon” workshops, which are led by our own members on specialist subjects like water and utilities, ancient sites and earth energies, as these take place out of doors. However, please bear in mind that attendance at Devon Dowsers outdoor events, for both members and non-members, is at your own risk.
We charge £30 for workshops led by professional dowsers or specialists, and these usually take place in a hired hall. Workshop topics in 2019 include Colour Healing and Animal Communication and Healing.
