About this Privacy policy
Devon Dowsers is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We request the minimum of personal information from members, so that Council can communicate effectively with you about our legitimate business. For example, we would like to inform you about any dowsing related matters that we think might be of interest to you; to ask for your help to put on events or to thank you for any help you have given; to promote Courses, Workshops and dowsing events; to respond to enquiries and complaints; and to give notice of AGMs.
Privacy and Security
It is our legal duty to keep your personal information private and secure. If you have subscribed to receive regular postings via the Devon Dowsers website, you do so in the knowledge that the website is GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) secure. The Devon Dowsers Secretary and Membership Secretary will hold your personal information on a Devon Dowsers database which is password protected. It will be accessible to Council members in order for them to provide you with a service as a member of Devon Dowsers.

We will hold any personal information you give us for only as long as it takes us to respond to your enquiry.
What personal information Devon Dowsers holds
The personal information we request is your name, address, telephone numbers and email address. Please contact us through the Contact page on our website if you wish to know what personal information we hold about you.

We need your signed consent to allow us to hold this information for the purposes stated and for no other purpose. We will never pass your personal information to a third party, unless we are legally obliged to by law enforcement authorities.
Withdrawal of consent
Having given your written consent to Devon Dowsers to hold your personal information, you may at any time withdraw your consent. Please either email or write to the Membership Secretary with your request who will delete your personal information from our records.
Managing your personal information
Devon Dowsers will annually review members personal information at the time of membership renewal and update or delete if membership is not renewed.
Consent for the use of personal images
Devon Dowsers publishes a Newsletter as well as a Magazine and has its own Website. We like to use photographs of members demonstrating dowsing or participating in activities run by Devon Dowsers. We need your signed consent allowing us to use an image of yourself in any Devon Dowsers publication. We will request your consent at the time you choose to become a member and if you choose not to give your consent this will not preclude you from becoming a member.
Devon Dowsers commitment to members
Devon Dowsers seeks to be transparent as to the purpose it keeps personal information. We are accountable in law and to our membership to keep all such information private and secure with the explicit consent of members. We will annually review our policy to reflect best practice.
