History of Devon Dowsers

Devon Dowsers was formed in late 1992 after John Bowers had led a series of evening classes that introduced dowsing to beginners at Chulmleigh, South Molton and Okehampton Community Colleges. There was a call to continue to meet and practise after the evening classes had finished. John Bowers was the first Chair of Devon Dowsers, and he was joined by founder members John Down and John Lott. Even in its early years Devon Dowsers had periods when it had over 200 members.
